A busy week for Steel City

So, last week saw us make the long and rather sweaty journey to London to look around the stands at RSVP at the Business Design Studio.  This year we were just looking around, hoping to get some ideas and perhaps exhibit next year.  We got some fabulous ideas for our current events and inklings of thoughts for new ones.  How about adding an incredible ice cream bar to your Willy Wonka extravaganza or why not invite the Mad Hatter himself along to your Alice in Wonderland tea party?

RSVP wasn't the only task of the week, no rest for the wicked over the Easter weekend! Two events back to back and straight into giving our new events that extra va va voom!

Steel City Promotions and Alice in Wonderland

Planning new events is always great fun, drawing inspiration from people around us and generally thinking up wild and wacky ideas.

Alice in Wonderland definitely had our minds working overtime.  There are so many elements to this theme including, White Rabbits and stunning props and backdrops all set in an enchanted forest.  The Mad Hatters tea party is the perfect setting for this theme so what better way to replicate this than by having giant cups and saucers, huge slices of cake and some completely unique illuminated mad hatters hat table centres.....these were a genious idea and look AMAZING!

An event perfect for a product lauch, corporate or Christmas party, we love this theme and we know you will too!!

Conference and Awards Ceremony

Last week saw Steel City Promotions produce a full conference set for one of the big health care companies in Sheffield. Held at the Copthorne Hotel, we designed and produced a fantastic bespoke conference set custom built and complete with audio visual and subtle lighting effects. A team building exercise took place in the afternoon allowing for the clients to relax. The room was then transformed into a swanky evening awards ceremony, with flame effect lighting either side of the striking red carpet entrance, our new fabulous illuminated table centres and beautiful chair covers and table linen . There was an illuminated mobile bar for added effect and included our stunning star cloth backdrop to give extra atmosphere. Once the awards were over, our 5 piece band struck up their first notes, and brought the evening to a close.
