Themed Events and Entertainment!

This last week we’ve attended lots of lovely summer events – I’m talking Caribbean Beach Parties, Wild West BBQ’s and themed events in grand marquees. 

Our Caribbean theming comprises of Palm Trees, Backdrops, Beach Huts, Rowing Boats and all sorts of Fishing Nets, Lobster Pots and Rigging! Last weeks’ event in Leeds saw us bring in an authentic Steel Band that the guests could boogie and limbo to until their hearts content! 

We attended a rather swanky event at Sywell Aerodrome last week too and were fortunate enough to be a part of this annual shindig.  The guys were in awe as they witnessed an aerobatic stunt show of the highest calibre – a rare treat! The event was suave, sophisticated, classy and very upmarket, so what better theme to choose than 007! We entertained the guests on our casino tables for which we had some personalised fun money designed and printed specifically for the client.  Our 007 themed props also added effect, hammered home the theme and created some great photo opportunities – our 007 themed backdrop is perfect for this! It’s great as a stage backdrop for a band too, which is what the client for this event used it for!

A Great Gatsby themed event took place recently as well! Our Roaring 20’s Backdrop took pride of place in the drinks reception area, allowing for guests to pose for photos and get in that 1920’s party mood. So we’ve been party to a multitude of events lately as you will see, and there’s definitely more to come.  Lots more James Bond Themed Events over the next month; Willy Wonka and Alice in Wonderland are popular choice too at the moment! The perfect Wild West event!

Yeeee Hawwww! We’ve been hauling it up in the Wild West recently; this theme is gaining in the popularity stakes at the moment – it’s all about Wild West BBQ’s and fun and games!

We dug our Saloon Bar Entrance out of the depths of the warehouse last week, gave it a dust down and sent in on its way up to Scotland with some of our other fab Wild West props. Here it is fully set up – he’s a monster but an absolute beauty and a must have for any Wild West themed event or party.  Definitely something John Wayne would be proud of!

In my eyes a Wild West party should be broken down into 3 different elements; The Room Décor. The Entertainment. The Catering.

The venue should be stuffed full of Whiskey Barrels, Cartwheels, Bunting and Hay Bales; thrown into the mix should be some great features such as the Saloon bar Entrance or a great backdrop – we’ve got an awesome one that was painstakingly hand-painted by one of our team (it took him 7 weeks!!) and stretches in its entirety to 48ft long! A great piece for a photo opportunity!

There should be heaps of entertainment at your Wild West event, everything from the age old Bucking Bronco / Rodeo Bull to the Saloon Bar Shoot Out.  Can Can Dancers make for a great piece of eye candy for the gentlemen guests and you could even get involved in some line dancing! The options are endless!

The catering needs to be rustic – I’m talking BBQ, Hog Roast and Beer! Chuck in a few baked potatoes and you’re sorted!  All its needs now is for all the guests to dress the part and the honky tonk music to get folks dancing!

Of course this is just my idea of a perfect Wild West extravaganza…you may have your own ideas which may be faaaar better than mine! Step back in time to the 1950's!

We’ve been rocking ‘n’ rolling with the best of them!! Last weekend we provided props and entertainment for a fabulous American Diner themed event; think, Giant Milkshakes, Black & White Dance Floor, Diner Booth Seating, Backdrops and funky lighting!

This theme is full of fun; it’s lively, it’s nostalgic and it’s uber cool at the moment! We’ve got a whole host of American Diner themed props in house, ready to rock your party and a score of entertainment too; 1950’s Rock ‘N’ Roll Dancers, classic 1950’s paparazzi, singers and duke box DJ’s.

A straightforward American Diner themed event is a brilliant one to choose, however we have some great Grease themed props to accentuate the theme.  How about our great Danny & Sandy feature backdrops and Grease car prop; perfect for photos!! A super theme choice for super events!

In other news, we’ve had some new theme inspiration from our customers; an enquiry this week for a Steam Punk themed event certainly put the cat among the pigeons! Firstly, we needed to research what Steam Punk actually was and once we knew, we could really get our thinking caps on and creative juices flowing! You guys know how to test us!!  We love to be challenged, so if there is something you would like but can’t see it on our website, just give us a call or an email and we’ll be happy to discuss some options with you.  If we can’t design, build or make what you’re after, we’ll definitely know someone who can!
