A month of Hollywood's!

The Hollywood theme lends itself very nicely to all sorts of different events.  It works brilliantly as an Awards Ceremony, taking hints from the famous Awards.  How very apt for this time of year....!!

Our golden statues have been out in force this last month, standing to attention at several different parties and events.  We work very closely with Aston Hotel in Sheffield and have been their main entertainment and theming provider over the last few months.  They love the Hollywood theme and we were over the moon to provide a subtle hint of theming alongside our fantastic casino tables for their various Christmas Party Nights over December and January. Casino tables work just as well at small intimate parties as at larger corporate events - they always go down a treat and our croupiers ensure everyone has a brilliant time!  They fit into most themes, especially; Las Vegas, Moulin Rouge, Pirates and Hollywood.

The main Hollywood event of the month is coming up this weekend, and they are going all out! We're putting in a conference set for them for their afternoon seminar, then as they leave to put on their gladrags, we will transform the room into a Hollywood extravaganza.  More on that in the next addition....

Can Can Dancers and Cowboy Boots!

A western event is always one, sure to make everyone smile.  Rustic haybales, old fashioned saloon bars and a casino den fit for purpose.  January has indeed enticed the cowboys and cowgirls from all around, leading to two recent Wild West extravaganza's!

Last year, this client had a swanky Hollywood themed party, complete with Spoof Paparazzi, Marilyn Monroe and glamourous props all around.  This year, they decided they would go all out and hold their staff Christmas Party down in the Wild Wild West! And what a party it was!  Can Can Dancers, Sherrif Photographers and of course the trusty casino were all part and parcel of the entertainment.  The room was themed with endless whiskey barrels, cartwheels and haybales, scattered in and amongst the Saloon Bar feature and great looking, hand painted backdrops.  

The beautiful Can Can dancers, wowed the crowd and really got the party going, although one cheeky chappy did bring up the point that Can Can Dancers shouldn't really be wearing any underwear!! He was quite put out!!  And the ladies, said that they definately need more male action next year, in the form of male dancers / models - the men had more than their fair share of dancing girls this year!

A Christmas Eve Proposal

For all it is now January and we are well over Christmas I though i'd take a moment or two out of my day to tell all you lovely people about an extra special event that took place on Christmas Eve.

Imagine the scene, it's Christmas Eve, you're travelling home from a hard day's last minute Christmas shopping.  The shops were heaving, you have so many bags and you just can't wait to get home, sit in front of the fire with a large mug of hot chocolate (with extra cream and marshmallows) and wait for the big guy himself to head down the chimney.  Well one girls' Christmas Eve turned out rather differently.....

We were commissioned to transform a back garden in Darlington into a magical Winter Wonderland scene, complete with stalagmite props, uber cool ligting effects, ice sculptures and snow in order for a very nervous young man to welcome his girlfriend home from her Christmas Eve shopping trip and ask her to marry him.  No problem we thought, we have endless nets of fairy lights which we often use to create a tunnel effect and our Large Stalagmites look great when lit in blue.   We took on the project and created a stunning setting ready for the big question.  As she pulled up the drive, she was met by carol singers and a fire performer, lead through the tunnel of fairy lights and into her very own Christmas proposal.  Wonderful!
