Hello November!

Halloween is almost over and we’ve participated in many a spine-tingling party.  Our fantastic performers were out in force on Saturday night at the beautiful Manchester Monastery; Our Fire Performer wowed guests on arrival whilst The Devil and Grim Reaper Living Statues lurked in the corridors; preparing to pounce on unsuspecting victims.  Feature props such as tombstones, cauldrons and gravestones were hidden in nooks and crannies and cleverly lit to create a spooky atmosphere.   

Last week also saw us involved in lots of 007 themed events, put on by clients in honour of ‘Skyfall’.  We’ve been at the O2 in London with Casino Tables, 007 Silhouettes, Security and Scanners and plenty of smiles.  We also brought Bond to Cambridge, Sheffield, Northampton and Stratford in the past week or two and we’re not quite done yet.

As the madness of October comes to a close, we are gearing up for the weekend ahead…the first weekend in November sees a mass of 007, Hollywood and Winter themed events scattered far and wide over the UK. 

The first winter event of the year is in Maidstone…we’re transforming a gorgeous country house into a magical winter scene.  Christmas is definitely coming folks…best get booking your festive fun soon!

A Mixed Bag….

October is usually renowned for being the weird quiet month before the Christmas rush…well not in 2012!! As this month sees the premier of the new James Bond film ‘Skyfall’; our 007 themed props have being going bonkers – of course the fact that it is also the 50^th anniversary year is adding to the excitement and getting everyone hyped up! Bond themed parties have always been popular but this year are setting the trend and leading the stakes in all things glamour and entertainment

Currently many of our Bond Props are residing in major Casino branches in Northampton and Stratford, we’ll be delivering more of these on Monday for their launch night.

This past weekend we have been all around the country – from Glasgow down to Plymouth, bringing entertainment from all corners.  We’ve been to Vegas, Hollywood and even back in time to the 1950’s – Grease style! We’ve got some great Danny & Sandy scene setters, which look perfect either side of our huge new American Diner Backdrop.  Oversized Chocolate Milkshakes made for great a great photo opportunity too!  Of course what weekend would be complete without many a Roulette wheel spinning and many a card dealt; our guests of all ages have loved every minute.

Our Martini Glass Table Centres have again been a popular choice this weekend.  They've been at 40th Birthday Parties, Showcases and 007 extravaganzas!

We’re planning our next moves for the next few weeks…more 007 themed events are on the cards along with all those Halloween Parties that seem to have crept upon us! Halloween is starting early this year as we dig out the Grim Reaper and dust off the Devil!

Christmas is bulging at the seams too…some of our themes are almost fully booked, so get in there fast if you’re needing some extra glam for the festivities!

Annual Launches and Prop Drops!

We’ve had a super busy week here at SCP HQ; our ever popular casino tables have been out in force and we returned for TIGI Haircare’s annual launch event over in Liverpool.  Last year they had a Candy theme so naturally our Willy Wonka theme lended itself nicely – this year….something altogether different and a little more retro!

The theme was ‘Cocktail’ (the movie) / Hawaiian Bar so think bright neon lights, cool slick colours and of course, one or two cocktails!! Our light pillars were the perfect feature, set on a green and pink colour scheme, and blending in well with our room up-lighting of pink, purple, green and blue.  Our Rum Barrels were the perfect photo opportunity set in amongst Palm Trees and more lighting.  We dressed up the guests with grass skirts and garlands and let them loose on Fishbowls full of Glow Sticks.  Once the room was dressed, the Cocktail Bar Tenders then went to work with their Cocktail master class! Flaring, juggling and plenty of tasting meant the evening kicked off in style, swiftly followed by dinner and dancing.  Our Illuminated Martini Glass Centrepieces couldn’t have been more suited to the event if they’d tried!!

This week we’ve started early…5am to be precise this morning!! One of our vans headed down all the way down the country at various locations dropping off endless 007 themed props and putting smiles on many a customers’ face!  This is the start of the October 007 rush – so hold on to your hats folks, there’s plenty more where this comes from!

We’re off up the country and down the country and all over the in between this coming weekend.  Grease is the Word down in Plymouth, the Bright Lights of Vegas are heading to Glasgow and there is casino entertainment galore all over Yorkshire! Phew…an update on all this next week!!
