A busy bank holiday!

This week we’ve had so many parcels delivered containing brand new backdrops and we’ve been working endlessly adding to our stock of feature props too!! We’ve introduced Giant Milkshakes, a Statue of Liberty and some immense 3D sections to complement our beautiful Manhattan Skyline; A fantastic backdrop for all of those slick and cool events!  There are lots more props and new event ideas in the pipeline too…can you tell we’re excited?!!!

So event wise, 007 has been out in force again this weekend…the theme was present at a lovely wedding over in Worcester for a ‘Bond’ mad couple.  Our swanky Silhouettes graced the casino area, creating a real suave gambling den for all the guests to enjoy.  Beautiful linen and floral table centres softened the edges in the main dining room, and the white starlit dance floor was the perfect setting for dancing the night away in style.

Whilst this gorgeous wedding and others were happening this weekend, our little workshop elves have been extremely busy moving our premises.  We’re only off down the road but 17 van loads, 30 cups of tea, 4 packets of hobnobs and 1 tray of lasagne later and we’re finally in! A great new warehouse with space for all our props and a brand new office which will hopefully *crosses fingers* be warmer than the last!

Next week we are entertaining the masses at Lincoln University and have a rather intriguing team building exercise in the Midlands…you’ll have to check back next week to find out more about this!

It’s only the greatest show on earth….

Hold on to your hats people…SCP are exhibiting at this years I Do Wedding Show at Ice Sheffield!  The perfect opportunity for you to see us in action and observe some great ideas for your upcoming wedding or event!

Wedding shows can often be tedious and daunting for brides and grooms; here’s a little insider knowledge…exhibitors are just as nervous! Most aren’t there for the hard sell, they simply want to share their wares and ideas with you and if you like them and want to book then that is fantastic! So just come along and have a chat – we don’t bite!  Kids even get in free!  There will be lots of lovely things to look at, think about and talk about for your special day from all over South Yorkshire and we’ll be there ready to talk through any questions or ideas you may have, pass on our experience and spread the inspiration!

We’ll be the ones wearing big huge smiles and we may even have tempting treats on the stand…now if that doesn’t entice you I don’t know what will – everyone loves a sweet treat J !!

So join us on Sunday 2^nd September 2012 at Ice Sheffield (in, well….Sheffield!) and we’ll all have a ball!!

Grease is the Word....

Moving on from the bright lights of New York, and back in time to the 1950’s! We’ve invested in some great new props for our American Diner theme.

The Student Union of Plymouth are reliving their high school days (not that far back in reality!!) with this fun, upbeat theme! We’re making some fantastic giant Strawberry & Chocolate Milkshake Props (great for Willy Wonka too) for their upcoming event which will make a great feature for the stage area and in and around our Diner Dance Floor.  The Grease themed car prop is a perfect photo opportunity and is sure to cause a stir on the night – although, it is minus a backseat – no funny business on this Grease themed road-trip!

Our Halloween theme is getting a great string of outings this year - a rare theme for us as it is only of use to us once annually.  We’ve almost booked up for the weekend around Halloween and are already collecting cobwebs and preparing to raise Grim from the Graveyard.

Two very contrasting themes for October with a whole load of 007 thrown into the mix! 
Blimey….it will be Christmas before we know it!! Speaking of the festive season, we are booking up fast for this too…Wonka and his team of Oompa Loompas are a popular choice along with Classic Hollywood, Las Vegas and Roaring 20’s.
