Illuminations!

The event of the week this week was certainly when our magnificent illuminated furniture featured at a 30^th Birthday Party in Sheffield.  The brief from the birthday boy was to supply room dressing and entertainment of a high class to make the venue look cool, slick and fashionable. 

The crew set off with a van full of goodies and looking forward to the day ahead! Our 8ft Tall Light Pillars took pride of place alongside our Star Cloth Backdrop which framed the fantastic band.  Lighting galore, created a cool ambience around the room, and our illuminated Poseur Tables were the perfect place to chill with a cocktail or two.

Later in the evening once the guests had had their evening meal, we opened up the casino tables and we were ready to rock! Always proving a popular entertainment option, the tables didn’t fail to impress and were packed all night!

We have stacks of illuminated furniture perfect for any VIP party, Chill-Out area or cool shindig! Our cube seats and illuminated sofas are a great addition to any event along with fashionable light pillars, poseur tables and even LED Dance floors. They are all colour changeable, so can be set to match in with your colour scheme.  Or if you’re free and easy, have them fading or flashing through all the colours as you party the night away!

Tips and Trade Secrets!

Fun Casino means just that ‘FUN’! Steel City Promotions have a stock of over 25 tables, all immaculately finished with a burgundy colour scheme.  We have Roulette, Black Jack, Poker, Wheel of Fortune and Dice. All very different in their own right and all extremely popular!

If you’re struggling to think when you would have a casino or where indeed you would put it, the answer is easy! We fit into almost any small space, and are perfect for any event; wedding, corporate event, private party – the list is endless! The real beauty of it is….anyone of any age can play!! We need no gambling license as there is no real money involved – Brilliant!


Of course, there is the option of raising money for charity - this is easy peasy too!! The best way to go about this is, after choosing your charity, try and get a sponsor for the tables.  This way, the tables are completely paid for and the money raised on the night can go straight to the charity.  £1 or 50p per chip usually works very well and if you put up great prizes for the winner, there is a good incentive for your guests to spend more money! A recent charity event for ‘Battens Disease’ saw us raise £5000 for charity over 4 casino tables.

Secret Missions and Birthday Bashes!!

We’re having a ball this week at SCP HQ!! After the delights of the Alice in Wonderland Tea Party last week, this weekend just gone we went from Mad Hatter crazy to suave and sophisticated 007.

Our Fantastic Backlit Backdrop took pride of place in Cutlers Hall, Sheffield for a rather swanky 21^st Birthday Party. We decked out the main ballroom with props, linen and lighting galore and entertained the 150 plus guests in our separate casino area. Nothing spared for the birthday boy, even Sean and Daniel made and appearance, and what a night it was! Check out those lovely Martini Glasses – very in keeping with the theme!

We’re swinging merrily back over to the joys of Alice and her Wonderland this weekend as we deliver our unusual, unique and absolutely fabulous table centres and more to a venue in Henley on Thames.  Watch this space for photos of the event.

Mad Hatters Tea Party with a unique twist!

Alice in Wonderland is one of the most popular themes we produce.  From Mad Hatters Tea Party’s to University Proms and even Themed Weddings – this theme does it all and appeals to all ages!  This Jubilee weekend, saw us head off down to London with a van full of Toadstools, Giant Cupcakes and Grass Seating and our Bouncing Bunnies in tow.

The event was for a charity ‘Camp Simcha’ – they work with children suffering from life threatening illnesses, improving quality of life. 
A huge marquee was in place at a house in North London specifically for a Bar Mitzvah over the bank holiday weekend.  This was then kept left up so the charity could use it for their Alice in Wonderland party for the children and their siblings and carers!  This was the perfect setting for all of our props; we created a chill-out area without novelty seating and a games area with a couple of our Alice in Wonderland Crazy Golf Holes! Our Giant Cupcake, Chess Pieces and Mad Hatter’s Hat were feature props in nooks and crannies around the marquee. 

Our Bouncing Bunnies did us proud as usual; they have oodles of energy and the children loved them! Story Teller Alice was also present and entertained with balloons, magic and many a story.

All in all, a really heartfelt event, full of love and laughter!!
