A Victorian Affair!

Last night we helped to launch the Christmas theme at a Nottingham venue – we’re providing all the room dressing and entertainment at their run of Christmas shows and last night was a small taste of what was to come.  Over the last week we’ve been beavering away to get our Christmas Market Huts finished in time and what an impression they made.  Two identical traditional market huts made to order to aid their Victorian Christmas Fair theme.  Complete with serving hatch, they aim to tempt Christmas Party goers with Mulled Wine, Victorian Lemonade, Candy Floss & Mince Pies – the ultimate in festive treats! Not forgetting our authentic Roast Chestnut Cart which is sure to tickle those taste buds! Once the dark nights set in and the festive season is upon us, this theme will really spring to life and look simply magical!

Traditional Carnival Games will also be a huge focus at the events, with an authentic Hook-a-Duck and High Striker enabling guests to have a go and win some prizes!

In December we’ll be putting in some brand new backdrops too – these will depict a traditional fairground and really bring the theme to life – last year the theme was 1920’s meets New York and the stage set we included was striking – here’s the picture from last year! You’ll have

to wait until December for a peek at this years’ though!

Inspired by the Great British Bake Off...

After a hugely busy few weeks and having no time to update you lovely lot, last nights’ Great British Bake Off and Richards Pirate themed Show Stopper has inspired me to tell you all about our recent Pirate themed event! Down in Surrey, with a huge van full of Pirate props and room dressing to style out an Officers Mess for their annual event.

We hung Pirates in trees, themed drapes from the ceiling and created a Pirate themed stage set and photo opportunity using Wooden Barrels, Palm Trees, Treasure Chests and Pirate themed backdrops.  The scene was set and the party could begin!  We love our Pirate and Caribbean themed events – they just work so well in all sorts of venues and really do bring a smile to everyone’s face!

Other events on the agenda recently have included some fabulous VIP dressing for a week long launch at a London Casino, some fabulous Alice crossed with Masquerade theming (a little crazy, but who doesn’t love crazy – and we do love something a bit different!) and some great 007 theming, complete with security stunt men on the door!

Coming up over the next few weeks, we have our gorgeous Giant Illuminated LOVE Letters out in force – a fabulous addition to any wedding or Great Gatsby themed party.  These LOVE Letters make up part of our new wedding dressing section on our website – a section filled with quirky wedding ideas, lots of beautiful lighting and wedding dressing options. We’re always banging on about how important lighting it is at any event – and a wedding is no exception – with everything from delicate fairy lights in a marquee ceiling to outdoor colour wash, we can do it all and really add that extra bit of glamour you may be looking for!
