Christmas Sparkle at SCP!

Well…..firstly, apologies for the lack of blogging lately but we have been up to our eyeballs in Christmas sparkle here at SCP.  Let me start by telling you all about the fantastic Bollywood event we did back in November (goodness, that seems like forever ago!!!).  This theme is simply stunning – we’re talking lavish draping, over the top gilded props, scores and scores of lighting and beautifully decorated tables and chairs.  The venue we were dressing had a fantastic 30m long corridor that was ours for the decorating – we jumped straight on this using six separate draped entrances, placed right the way down to the main dining room.  With a base colour of red, each drape then had its own colour twist to add Bollywood glamour; purples, pinks, oranges and blues.  We enhanced the drapes with fiery flames, extravagant golden palm trees and one or two variety of elephant!  Purple and gold linen transformed the main room, accompanied by a wash of red light over the walls of the dining room and flickering table lanterns finished it off beautifully! Of course, what Bollywood event would be complete without Bollywood Dancers and Dohl Drummers? This was a fantastic event and we all hope there are more Bollywood themed events to come in 2013!

Two days after Bollywood…December hit with a bang! Swap Bollywood for Hollywood and this is how we began…..

We took our brand new Film Reel backdrops amongst many other props, theming and centrepieces and transformed a Reading venue into a Night in Hollywood!  The following week, was pretty much the same set up, in Kettering this time; a change in table centre, from Illuminated Martini Glasses to Frosted Domes and a few extra backdrops, saw this Hollywood themed Christmas Party swing from the rafters!

We have some fantastic new Circus Cannons which took pride of place at Ice Sheffield last week for their run of Christmas shows.  These, alongside traditional ticket booths, candy floss stalls, red and yellow ‘big top’ drapes and our plinthed Circus elephant looked great!  This last weekend has seen a real variety of themes, more Hollywood, a bit of classic Winter Wonderland, Circus Circus, Roaring 1920's and of course, we couldn’t get through December without mentioning the ever popular 007 theme!  On the run up to Christmas eve, we have a couple of events left…so we’re out to impress with more Winter theming, linen and table dressing.
